The postholder will plan a key role in the delivery of a workshop service, dedicated to providing support for research and teaching activities in the department. You will be part of an experienced team, designing, complex precision manufacturing components and contributing to the assembly, installation and commissioning of highly specialist equipment. You will work on a range of projects supporting the research groups and teaching laboratories in the Department of Physics.
To undertake projects to deadline, providing expert advice on the design and manufacture of complex components from a variety of materials to a high standard using a combination of manual and CNC machines, to a high level of accuracy and quality.
