About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Research Nurse to work collaboratively with the QMUL Wingate Clinical Trials Facility and Barts Health NHS Trust. The research that we conduct is focussed on the holistic approach to patient care and significantly contributes to the future progress of healthcare for all. Working clinically with the team you will promote high standards of both patient care and research practice and contribute to the recruitment and retention of patients in research studies.
About You
The post holder’s primary role will be responsible for assessing and managing the care pathways for patients and carers on the Wingate Clinical Trials Portfolio which includes commercial and non-commercial studies. This will involve the recruitment, education and monitoring of Gastroenterology patients in studies and the collection and documentation of accurate data. You will work closely with IBD and Gastroenterology consultants and investigators of Queen Mary University London (QMUL) and Barts Health NHS Trust. You will work collaboratively with the wider multi-disciplinary team (MDT) in the management of your own caseload of patients in the clinical studies. The post holder will deliver the study under the leadership of the Clinical Research Lead and Senior Research Nurses at the Royal London Hospital and The Wingate Clinical Trials Facility.
