The Smith School is creating the new role of PA to Professor Cameron Hepburn, the first Battcock Professor of Environmental Economics. You will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of administrative responsibilities to a high standard, providing a professional service to Professor Hepburn, colleagues and external contacts. You will be highly organised, excellent at establishing strong working relationships at all levels, and thrive in a varied, fast-paced role. You will work closely with colleagues in the Smith School, School of Geography and the Environment and other Oxford departments, as well as donors, and external stakeholders in universities, governments and industry.
You must have excellent organisation and administrative skills, attention to detail and high level of accuracy. The ability to manage confidential information, including ensuring that information from different roles and projects (which may be commercially sensitive) is not shared between them. Self-starting, proactive, highly motivated, able to work independently (within limits set by the line manager). You must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Able to draft correspondence and to produce well-presented reports. A high standard of numeracy; able to manage finances. Strong team working skills: flexible, collaborative, able to step in to support others in the wider team as required.

The post is full time for 2 years, with extension possible depending on funding.
