Key Responsibilities:

The Director of International Student Recruitment will lead the development, implementation, and optimisation of product and channel strategies to achieve ambitious student recruitment goals for our UK Pathways College.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead Recruitment Strategy: Develop, implement, and evaluate effective recruitment strategies for undergraduate and postgraduate Pathway College programs across core global markets.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and inspire a small team, driving performance and fostering a collaborative environment for sharing ideas and working beyond individual market responsibilities.
  • Recruitment Events: Organise and represent Pathway College at virtual and in-country recruitment events, engaging with prospective students and stakeholders.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders to manage relationships, ensuring a fully integrated approach to recruitment activities.
  • Global Sales Channel Management: Lead and develop global sales channels, achieving recruitment targets across agents, direct outreach, and partner networks.
  • Marketing Strategy: Create and implement innovative marketing strategies to support recruitment goals and enhance brand visibility.
  • Sales Performance: Manage the sales pipeline effectively, ensuring targets are met or exceeded, and continuously seek ways to improve performance.
  • Industry Networking: Build and maintain relationships within the education marketplace to stay informed on industry trends and gather valuable insights.

Essential Requirements:

  • Proven Experience: You bring significant experience in international student recruitment, with a demonstrated track record of consistently meeting or exceeding recruitment targets.
  • Leadership Skills: You have experience managing and motivating teams, with the ability to foster a collaborative and high-performing environment.
  • Sales Expertise: A strong background in sales within the education sector, with the ability to develop and manage a sales pipeline while driving results across multiple channels (agent, direct, partner).
  • Strategic Thinker: You excel at creating and implementing recruitment strategies, coupled with the ability to assess and adapt them to meet evolving market demands.
  • Event Representation: Comfortable representing the institution at recruitment events, both virtually and in-country, and engaging with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Marketing Acumen: Experience developing and executing marketing strategies aimed at student recruitment, ensuring maximum visibility and reach.
  • Relationship Builder: Excellent at managing relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners, ensuring a cohesive and integrated recruitment effort.
  • Industry Knowledge: You're well-connected within the education marketplace, with a strong network and up-to-date insights into global recruitment trends.

Desirable Requirements:

  • Relevant Degree: A degree in a related field, providing a solid foundation for understanding the education sector and student recruitment.
  • Analytical & Decision-Making Skills: Strong analytical abilities, paired with confident decision-making skills to navigate complex recruitment challenges and seize growth opportunities.
  • Exceptional Communication & Leadership: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, coupled with proven leadership abilities to inspire teams and engage with stakeholders effectively.
