We are seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated member of staff to work with us as a contract officer on a permanent basis.

Job Purpose:

We are seeking a suitably skilled and qualified contract Officer to work within our Estates and campus team. You will be a key park of the estates team, supporting students and staff within this iconic facility. This role will allow you to manage and develop our key hard Facility Management (FM) contractor GTFM. This position requires the individual to work closely with our facility management company GTFM to maintain and develop these fantastic facilities to enhance our student’s journey with us.

Key Accountabilities:

  • You will have responsibility to manage and working with our hard FM contractor, monitoring performance, auditing and developing protocols for both parties. In line with the None-Profit Distributing (NPD) contract requirements.
  • Key activities are monitoring day to day performance of GTFM agents the contract clauses.
  • Guiding the Estates team and wider college staff on contract requirements.
  • Supporting monthly and key routine meeting between both parties. Ensuring all meetings are documented accurately.
  • Facilitate procedures and documentation relating to building improvements with GTFM. Ensuring accurate records and systems are maintained.

Essential Criteria:

  • We are looking for an individual who has a keen eye for contract details as well as a pragmatic approach to the smooth running of the campus estate. Develop open and transparent dialogs with all our contractors to ensure cross learning for mutual benefit to both parties. The successful candidate will need to be, highly organised, have an attention to detail and demand high standards from our contractors. Confident to support all out contractors to share our goal to give our student the best environment to develop as well as ensuring our staff have the best facilities to deliver curriculum excellence.

Please note: the successful post holder will need to pass a satisfactory PVG Scheme check through Disclosure Scotland/Financial Check/Medical prior to commencing employment.
