International Regional Manager (South Asia)

We are looking for an International Regional Manager (South Asia) to join us on a Full-time, Fixed-term basis covering maternity.

THE ROLE

The post holder will work closely with the Head of International Business Development in the delivery of the University’s international strategy, with a particular focus on managing South Asia region International recruitment and marketing activities (mainly India).

At an operational level, the post holder will manage the day-to-day interactions with the India Regional Office overseas and manage their activities in relation to marketing opportunities, new programme proposals and relationship matters with key partners in the region. Managing frequent communications with the India Office, chairing weekly meetings over Microsoft Teams.

The post holder will be required to represent the University on key networks in order to identify and maximise opportunities, as well as represent the University on occasional overseas visits. The post holder will be required to travel between and work at different campuses across the University and UK and may undertake some international travel.

This role calls for excellent people, communication, and networking skills.

REQUIREMENTS

You will need to hold:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent or equivalent professional experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and cross cultural communication skills.
  • The ability to communicate effectively and build strong relationships at all levels and with various internal and external stakeholders
  • Demonstrable experience of international student recruitment.
  • Demonstratable experience of developing external relationships and developing excellent stakeholder relationships.
  • Ability and willingness to travel internationally as required.
  • Knowledge of relevant immigration & UKVI regulations.
  • Strong understanding on international student recruitment and admissions in the UK HE landscape.

It would also be beneficial if you have:

  • A postgraduate degree level qualification or equivalent in International education
  • Ability to communicate through the medium of Welsh – oral and written
