The Faculty of Education invites applications for the position of Full/Associate/Assistant Professor in Artificial Intelligence Education.

Qualifications
Applicants whose research in this field will advance AI education at various education levels, including but not limited to (1) theoretical foundations related to AI education, and/or examining these through empirical research to understand their impact on teaching and learning; (2) designing and delivering courses on major topics of AI-based designs and other emerging technologies for learning and assessment, such as tools or curricula used in offline classrooms, online platforms, and out-of-school settings; (3) researching the pedagogical potentials and complexities of AI, addressing learners’ diverse needs, and preparing them for future careers and life.
Applicants should have: (1) a doctoral degree in ICT in education, educational technology, artificial intelligence, computer science, or related areas; (2) a clearly defined research agenda at the intersection of artificial intelligence and education; (3) a strong research publication record, demonstrated by high-quality academic publications; (4) a strong teaching record at the university level, particularly in courses related to artificial intelligence, methods in artificial intelligence education, and other emerging technologies for learning and assessment; (5) proven experience in developing and leading innovative educational programmes and curricula that integrate artificial intelligence; (6) excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in an interdisciplinary and multicultural environment; and (7) for the rank of Full Professor or Associate Professor, applicants should have established international excellence in research and scholarship, with a proven record of publications in top-tier journals (e.g., SSCI or SCI indexed journals), a strong international network of collaborations with scholars and practitioners in the field, and the ability to secure and manage competitive research grants and engage in collaborative research projects at national and international levels. Priority consideration will be given to those with proven competence in publishing top journal articles in this area.
The selected candidate is expected to assume duty in January 2025.
Remuneration
A taxable annual remuneration starting from MOP1,250,200 (approximately USD154,350) for the position of Full Professor, MOP1,052,800 (approximately USD129,980) for the position of Associate Professor and MOP855,400 (approximately USD105,600) for the position of Assistant Professor will be commensurate with the successful applicants’ academic qualification and relevant professional experience. The current local maximum income tax rate is 12% but is effectively around 5% - 7% after various discretionary exemptions.
