We would like to work with a small group facilitator who can help guide a wide range of student discussions on various topics around themes including medical sociology, self-directed learning, academic research and personal reflection. If this sounds like something you would like to be involved in – please get in touch! We would look for you to start as soon as possible.

You will work with students in small groups (up to 10 students) and facilitate discussions. You will also signpost to university support, take part in routine staff training and help with marking and assessment. Routine administration such as e-mails and checking of attendance will be required.

For this role, you will need to be on site once or twice per fortnight during university term time. We can accommodate very small amounts of remote faciliatation if discussed and agreed in advance.

What we’re looking for:

  • Qualifications/Education: A primary medical degee, a bachelors degree in a healthcare related discipline or a Masters/PhD in a social science discipline is is essential.
  • Experience: Experience in small group facilitation, clinical practice and student marking/assessment are desirable.
  • Skills: Basic I.T. literacy and and willingness to undertake routine training is essential. An interest in Widening Particiaption (WP) is desirable.
