Responsibilities and requirements

We are seeking talented individuals globally to join our team. Candidate with a strong background in Chemistry, including areas like Inorganic chemistry, organic chemistry, physical chemistry, analytical chemistry, environmental chemistry, materials biology, Nano chemistry etc., are encouraged to apply.

  • Senior Professor/'Discipline Leader':
    • Proven track record of teaching, research, or technical work at renowned Chinese or international institutions.
    • Associate professor or equivalent academic qualifications.
    • Outstanding achievements and recognized influence in their field.
    • Ability to lead and organize research teams and set the direction for the discipline.
  • Professor/'Top-notch Discipline Talent':
    • Experience in teaching, research, or technical work at respected institutions.
    • Senior positions or equivalent qualifications.
    • Innovative contributions to fundamental research, technology development, or related fields.
    • Potential to become a leader in the field, demonstrating strong research organization and teamwork.
  • Associate Professor/'Young Innovative Talent':
    • Understanding of academic trends and research directions.
    • Experience in leading or participating in innovative research projects.
    • Demonstrated achievements in fundamental research or technology development.
    • Ability to lead research teams and collaborate with domestic and international institutions.

Compensation and Funding Support:

Senior Professor/Discipline Leader:

  • Remuneration: Minimum annual salary of RMB 700,000 (£74,920 Circa), with housing subsidies of at least RMB 3,000,000 (£321,089 Circa).
  • Research Funding: Start-up funding of RMB 2,000,000 (£214,059 Circa), with support in applying for Shanghai high-level discipline construction funds ranging from RMB 4,000,000 (£428,819 Circa) to 6,000,000 (£642,178 Circa).
  • Team Building: Opportunity to independently establish a research team with university support for team development. Priority will be given for recommending the candidate as team leader for RMB 10,000,000 (£1,070,297 Circa) in Shanghai Innovation Team funding.

Professor/Top-notch Discipline Talent:

  • Remuneration: Minimum annual salary of RMB 500,000 (£53,515 Circa), with housing subsidies of at least RMB 2,000,000 (£214,059 Circa).
  • Research Funding: Start-up funding of RMB 1,000,000 (£107,030 Circa).

Associate Professor/Young Innovative Talent:

  • Remuneration: Minimum annual salary of RMB 350,000 (£37,460 Circa), with housing subsidies of at least RMB 350,000 (£37,460 Circa).
