Faculty

The School of Built Environment, Architecture and Creative Industries has a long history of academic excellence across the subjects of civil engineering, structural engineering, construction management, architectural technology, animation and graphics. 

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join us as a Lecturer (Grade 8) in Civil Engineering to make significant contributions to the implementation of our teaching and learning strategy in Civil and Structural Engineering. The ideal candidate will have expertise and a track record of research in Civil Engineering, Geotechnics, Structures and/or Construction Materials.  

The School of Built Environment, Architecture and Creative Industries provides a supportive and developmental environment to all academic staff by offering a mentoring facility to all colleagues and effective personal development plans and processes.

What you will be doing:

• Deliver excellent teaching and learning experience to students and take a leadership role commensurate with the grade
• Collaborate with other academics in the Bradford Centre for Sustainable Environments Research Group

Qualifications/ experience:

• PhD (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering, or a relevant subject area
• Honours degree (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering, or a relevant subject area to the Built Environment
• Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education Practice, or commitment to obtaining this following appointment
