Summary of the role

Do you have the skills, knowledge and passion to help us deliver an excellent regional network of support for Early Career Researchers (ECRs) across the South West of England and South Wales working in collaboration with the prestigious British Academy and co-partners at Bath Spa University.

In this role you will be responsible for leading on the design, management, delivery, and evaluation of the British Academy Early Career Researcher Network (BA-ECRN) Southwest and South Wales Cluster. This is part of a wider initiative supported by the British Academy working in partnership with the Wolfson Foundation. The post is co-hosted by the Universities of Exeter and Bath Spa and will be based as a hybrid post at Exeter University. You will be working within a small team of specialists in researcher development who work together to ensure our researchers can excel and have high quality support to enable them to fulfil their potential in a supportive research environment.

The Research Services Division is a key enabler for the delivery of the University's Research and Impact Strategy, to meet our ambitious research and knowledge exchange income and postgraduate research targets and for a successful Research Excellence Framework (REF).

The Research Services Division also provides overall Professional Services leadership for the Exeter Doctoral College. Our Doctoral College supports the continuing growth of our Postgraduate Research (PGR) and ECR community, and development of the resources, facilities and spaces required to maintain a high-quality PGR and ECR experience. We are looking for an exceptional candidate to lead on this exciting programme of support for Early Career Researchers across the region, led by the British Academy and in collaboration with colleagues from Bath Spa University.

The postholder will be required to travel across the region to collaborate with Cluster partners.
