Faculty Technical Services Manager

About the Role
This role represents an exciting opportunity to lead the strategic development and delivery of all aspects of technical services across the Faculty of Science and Engineering. The postholder will be part of the VP (Science and Engineering) team, playing a strategic, leading role in development and delivery of the Faculty’s technical teams, laboratory infrastructure and world class technical facilities.

About You
We are looking for a proactive, initiative-driven, creative individual who will apply their management experience to advance the technical services strategy. We are seeking an individual has passion, enthusiasm and a proven track record for growing and supporting the technical community. Applicants should have a relevant degree or equivalent experience and a health and safety qualification, with experience of technical management at a senior level, people, project and change management, expert knowledge of health and safety regulations within a laboratory setting. Knowledge and experience of supporting research and teaching, involvement in large infrastructure projects and line management experience in an academic environment are also essential.
