Role overview

Senior Careers Consultants work with a wide variety of clients at different stages of their careers, delivering innovative services both in-person and remotely. Reporting to the Head of Careers and Employability, you will deliver a range of innovative services to provide employability and careers support to clients at different stages of their career. You will work closely with the Careers and Employability Team and wider colleagues to deliver targeted career development activities, such as one-on-one coaching, workshops, asynchronistic learning and employer events.

Through our recent partnership with IU Group (Europe’s largest EdTech company), the number of course offerings is expanding into new areas and with this the Careers Service is also significantly developing. Therefore, this is an exciting opportunity to be a part of LIBF and help shape a proactive, innovative and scalable Careers Service, with links to IU counterparts in Germany and Canada.

Key responsibilities

Your principal activities will include:

  • Enhance clients’ careers management skills through designing and delivering a range of activities.
  • Identify areas to contribute to employability and careers learning into the curriculum.
  • Establish and sustain strategic relationships with colleagues, including those from faculty, professional services, and other stakeholders.
  • Deliver guidance appointments to clients to support with career decision-making and career development.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Strong relationship-building skills
  • Careers guidance/ coaching qualification
  • Experience in careers guidance/ coaching or recruitment
  • Knowledge of the labour market and recruitment landscape
  • Project management skills
  • Strong communication and data management skills
  • Ability to take full ownership of projects and a can do/positive attitude.
