Personal Assistant to the Chief Operating Officer

About the role

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a very professional team who support Senior Leadership here at the University of Bath. The role provides a high-quality PA support service to our Chief Operating Officer and forms part of a job-share arrangement. There is a real satisfaction to be working in the very centre of the leadership of an organisation that has such a significant and positive impact on so many people from individual students, Bath, the south west region, the UK and the world through its world-leading research and teaching. 

You will be responsible for range of vital administrative and secretarial responsibilities including:

• juggling complex diary demands
• commissioning and quality assurance of briefing material
• events coordination

Through these responsibilities you will also contribute to the effectiveness of other key organisational activities such as internal comms, public relations, marketing and development.

You will work closely with the Executive Officer to the COO to provide a seamless service.

This position is offered on a permanent basis, working 14.6 hours per week across Thursday and Friday.

Interviews are scheduled for the 11th and 12th of September.

About you

Our ideal candidate will have:

• strong experience of providing a proactive PA support service at a senior level
• experience of organising and/or coordinating high-profile events
• a high standard of communication skills
• a clear focus on good customer service
• excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise own work, meet deadlines and flexibility to cover out-of-hours events

Experience within the Higher Education sector is not essential but would be a bonus.
