About us
UCL is a radically different university. Founded in 1826 in the heart of London, we were the first university in England to welcome students of any religion and the first to welcome women on equal terms with men. Today UCL has over 50,000 students and 16,000 staff and is one of the world's top 10 universities.
The department of the Vice President External Engagement coordinates UCL’s engagement with a range of audiences, raising the university’s profile and influence, and managing its reputation. It promotes the public value of UCL’s research and partnerships to the future of Britain and globally. It is a service-driven function made up of communications and marketing professionals who deliver sector-leading media relations, public affairs, institutional communications, brand and integrated marketing, student recruitment, and events.
About the role
This is a pivotal role at the heart of a team working to transform the way UCL communicates with prospective students. Following the roll-out of our new enterprise-wide CRM in Microsoft Dynamics last year, you’ll be working to harness the power of new data and insight to increase the effectiveness of our student recruitment and conversion activities and meet our prospective students’ needs.
You’ll be a motivated CRM professional looking to apply to your skills and knowledge in a world top 10 university where there’s huge potential to change the way we interact with those looking to study here. Reporting to the Senior CRM Marketing Manager, you’ll enhance internal processes, recommend technical developments and find opportunities to enhance customer journeys. Your data and insight work will include recommending KPI metrics for evaluating performance, creating customer journey dashboards, and evaluating the success and impact of audience communications from initial enquiry to enrolment, as well as conducting and reporting on sector benchmarking, compliance issues and best practice for digital marketing.
This team are office based on Tuesdays each week, though you can choose to work onsite more often if you prefer.
About you
We’re looking for someone with experience working on B2B/C, CRM programmes, demonstrating the ability to plan towards campaigns, test programmes and implement full CRM activities (ideally Microsoft Dynamics) and experience of service monitoring, evaluation and development through market research, benchmarking, or other techniques and previous experience creating complex segmentation.
