About the role:
The Hitachi-Imperial Centre for Decarbonisation and Natural Climate Solutions is seeking an enthusiastic and organised Centre Manager to cover a period of maternity leave. The Centre Manager will work closely with the Centre Directors, research teams at Imperial and our collaborators at Hitachi to ensure successful day-to-day operation of this exciting academia/industry research initiative.
What you would be doing:
The Centre Manager will play a critical role in helping the Centre Directors and researchers deliver the Centre’s mission and research programme in the fields of climate change, energy and decarbonisation. You will undertake a wide variety of duties in the role, including budget management, resource planning and review, leading event and meeting coordination and supporting on new project development. You will help build cohesion and collaboration both across the research teams at Imperial and with Hitachi counterparts. Your role will involve representing the Centre across Imperial and externally, helping to increase the visibility and impact of our work. The Centre Manager will also monitor the progress of the teams and their research, providing guidance as to requirements from the funder and ensuring that the outcomes are delivered on time and to the required standard.
