The role
The Centre for Innovation supports fourteen UG Integrated Masters’ programmes; an expanding PGT provision and several Bristol Futures and service units. Based full-time on-campus, we are looking to appoint a dynamic and flexible full time Senior Centre Administrator to provide vital support to ensure the smooth operation of the Centre for Innovation. The diversity and complexity of the activities of the role makes this an interesting and challenging opportunity for an adaptable individual with outstanding administrative and IT skills.
What will you be doing?
You will be responsible for ensuring that key Centre activities are managed and delivered on time. This will mean using a range of Office 365 tools to provide administrative support to Centre team members, including the setting up and maintenance of appropriate administration systems. A key part of your role will be in supporting the Centre Manager in meeting the operational requirements of the Centre in terms of health and safety; purchasing; building maintenance; marketing and financial activities. You will also arrange and support the organisation of events including Offer days, Open days, graduation celebrations and other Centre related events. You will be involved in the development and maintenance of Centre-wide information and communication systems, including the Centre’s SharePoint sites and websites as well as taking an active role in developing and enhancing existing processes within the Centre.
You should apply if
You have demonstrable experience in an administrative role and are confident in your decision-making ability. You will feel comfortable working at a fast pace, including dealing with substantial amounts of data whilst still maintaining a high degree of accuracy. With experience of arranging and supporting events or projects, you will be extremely flexible, resilient and positive and will thrive on working independently to solve often complex and challenging problems. Possessing excellent interpersonal and communication skills, you will enjoy working in a varied environment which often requires you to take on new tasks to meet the changing operational needs of the Centre. You will employ your advanced organisational and all- round digital literacy skills to deliver a high quality service to Centre members and will feel confident in your ability to influence colleagues from a wide variety of professional backgrounds and of varying seniority.
