A highly creative person is required for the role of Film and Production Technician within media humanities and the arts, subject area film and visual arts. We are seeking a candidate with an excellent technical understanding of film lighting and camera operation together with the management of ‘behind the scenes’ activities on set. 

You will be responsible for the maintenance, support and demonstration of the facilities within our film studio, together with the running of the stores across Film and Photography. You will support the Course Leader and wider technical team in the delivery of technical demonstration and operation of the facilities across the department and you will also be expected to assist in promotional and recruitment activities and undertake any other duties commensurate with the grade of the post that might be required.

We are looking for a creative practitioner in the areas of Film and/or moving image, who can promote high quality learning and teaching across a broad spectrum of innovation in film and production. You will have an in depth understanding of cinematic techniques, ideally with knowledge of relevant editing applications. You will be educated to degree-level within a Film and Production subject area or hold relevant professional experience. Knowledge of photography and digital photographic processes would be an advantage as would knowledge and experience around VFX and generated imagery.
