About the Role
To provide professional support for all UG students in the School of Economics and Finance, and to provide programme management support for the portfolio of UG programmes. The post holder is a key member of the School’s UG Professional Services Team and acts as joint Secretary to the School’s UG Committees. The role will assist with module registration and class allocations, attendance monitoring, module evaluations and ensuring the smooth running of the programmes.
The post-holder will work closely with various academic staff and Professional Services teams to ensure that all admissions related work (including Clearing) within the School is managed effectively and applicants are well supported.
The School offers a portfolio of around 10 practical optional modules and a Research Assistant Scheme, to enhance student skills and knowledge, improve employability prospects and assist with future career plans by providing a head start in the world of finance. The post holder will oversee and manage the administration of these modules which are open to the entire UG cohort of around 800 students.
About You
The successful candidate will have experience of managing teaching activities and programme management at either UG or PGT level within Higher Education. You should be educated to degree level in a relevant field or have equivalent experience. You will have excellent interpersonal skills and can work with tact and confidentiality when dealing with sensitive/confidential issues, able to respond to students in an empathic and professional manner. You will have experience of working within established regulations and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.

The School is located within the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences which comprises of nine Schools.
The School of Economics and Finance is a leader in teaching and research at both the national and international level. It has a range of both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, including programmes that are jointly run with others Schools. The School has over 800 undergraduate students, and over 700 postgraduate taught students. It offers excellent facilities and resources to enhance learning, including offering training and access to real time trading software to both UG and PGT students.
