Oxford University Department for Continuing Education (OUDCE) is seeking to appoint a Senior Course Administrator for Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Short Courses which is housed in the Department’s Professional and Open Access Courses section.
The CPD Portfolio provides short open enrolment courses that are designed to provide high-level teaching for individuals across a wide range of areas. The courses take place generally at the weekend but some series occur mid-week.
About the role
You will be responsible for administering a portfolio of courses (which may be subject to change from time-to-time). You will provide support for the student lifecycle on these courses from end-to-end, including dealing with applications and admissions, on-course administration and handling post-course enquiries, such as issuing of course certificates and debtor management. Whilst you will generally focus on administration for your own portfolio of courses, you will be required to be flexible in supporting other colleagues in the team and across the Department, as and when required.
This is a full-time (FTE) position, available on a permanent contract.
About you
You will have significant experience of working in an office, with excellent administrative and event/course organisation, skills, accuracy, and attention to detail, and an ability to work collaboratively and flexibly within a team. You will have sound judgement and an ability to adhere to established procedures and protocols, which will allow you to work with minimal supervision, while seeking guidance as required. Discretion and a professional and helpful manner in dealing with a wide range of people over the telephone, via email or in person are essential. You must be competent in a range of MS Office applications, and be willing to use technology to the full to reduce administrative processes. You should have a very good standard of numeracy and experience of working with data. A strong customer focus and excellent interpersonal skills are also essential.
