Full Time, Fixed-term until 31/10/2025

The Research Associate will be based at the School of Architecture, Building and Civil Engineering and will undertake research within the area of pedestrian movement, urban regeneration, wayfinding, and navigation. Indicative topic areas include spatial behaviour and spatial cognition, route choice, visual perception, and the planning implications for future urban design and development. Specifically, the job requires expert knowledge in geo-informatics, computer vision or video analytics or a strong interest in learning it.

The project will support revitalisation of Loughborough Town Centre, building on movement analysis, sense of place and local distinctiveness that have been widely recognised as key ingredients to thriving public spaces.
