About The Role

The Department of Computer Science in the Faculty of Science and Engineering is seeking applications from ambitious and talented individuals to join our academic team as a Lecturer. The successful candidate will have an excellent track record and potential in Human-Computer Interaction with a specific focus on Artificial Intelligence.

This is a 4.5 year Fixed Term post aligned to Professor Matt Jones’ EPSRC Fellowship on interactive AI[1]. The successful applicant will be able to benefit from, and contribute to, this adventurous programme to create a novel interactive AI paradigm. Applicants will also be expected to be committed to innovative teaching, to care about the student experience, and to be able to contribute to the development of a modern curriculum supported by laboratory based practical and project-based learning.

Welsh Language Skills

The Welsh language level required for this role is Level 1 - A little. The role holder will be able to pronounce Welsh words, answer the phone in Welsh (good morning/afternoon) and use very basic everyday words and phrases (thank you, please etc.). Level 1 can be reached by completing a 1 hour course.
