About the role

The Digital Education Platforms team provide professional subject matter expertise to the College’s community. They collaborate with Faculty EdTech Labs and take a product-centric approach to design, develop, integrate and maintain the applications and infrastructure needed to support their objectives. The team are supported by the resources of the ICT division and work in partnership with the academic teaching community.  Demonstrable experience in agile delivery is a must for this role, ideally coupled with experience of delivering in a higher education institution.

What you will be doing

  • Providing day to day support for the software products, platforms and services that underpin teaching and learning.
  • Adopting an agile approach to innovation and implementation activities for digital tools.
  • Build enduring client and colleague relationships based on being a trusted adviser.
  • Provide professional subject matter expertise to the ICT department and the College’s community. 

As a direct report to the Head of Education Platforms, you will work alongside two other Digital Education Support Analysts, three Senior Digital Education Support Analysts and other colleagues within the Digital Education Services Team. You will be expected to build positive relationships with the College’s EdTech Labs and other supporting services to provide continuous improvement to the experience of all students and staff.

What you would be doing

  • You will provide day to day support and subject matter expertise for the software products, platforms and services that underpin teaching and learning.
  • You will be part of a team working in an agile manner, allowing new digital education technologies to be employed quickly.
  • You will be responsible for the delivery of training for key centrally supported digital education services.
  • You will build working customer relationships with respect to digital education activities, contributing to decisions which influence the success of deliverables and team objectives, collaborating regularly with team members, stakeholders and suppliers.
  • You will contribute to continuous improvement, helping identify and address additional service requirements or service shortfalls.
  • You will bring capabilities that underpin communication, coordination, and collaboration to support College teaching and learning.

What we are looking for

  • A degree or equivalent experience, preferably in a technology related subject area.
  • Experience of educational technologies and their use to support the delivery of teaching and learning within a large organisation.
  • Project Management experience, preferably in an Agile methodology or equivalent.
  • Experience working in IT within a large organisation, applying subject matter expertise within specific business operations domains and / or Higher Education to deliver technology change.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate complex technical information effectively to a diverse range of stakeholders, including those without a technical background.
