Job Summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic and driven Digital Marketing Officer (Web and CRM) to join our Programmes Marketing and Insights team at Imperial College Business School. This is an exciting opportunity to support the design and delivery of inspiring website user journeys, marketing automation, and email nurture campaigns across the prospective student journey to position our degree programmes competitively amongst the world’s top business students.

The post supports the wider objectives of the Marketing, Recruitment and Admissions teams of meeting targets for the quantity, quality, and diversity of students.

Duties and responsibilities

  • With guidance from the Digital Marketing Manager (Web and CRM) and the Head of Digital Marketing, implement the programmes marketing strategy and campaigns that nurture leads and generate applications for the School’s postgraduate and undergraduate programmes, and support the School’s brand positioning
  • Update and maintain accuracy of programmes web pages, ensuring programme content is up to date, working alongside the Digital Marketing Manager (Web and CRM) to optimise user experience for lead generation and engagement
  • Support the Digital Marketing Manager (Web and CRM) in the implementation and integration of the Business School CRM and other technology systems
  • Maintain and optimise marketing automation workflows to ensure an engaging and personalised experience for candidates and applicants
  • Support a busy email marketing schedule, including creation and sending of regular email marketing campaigns that communicate key information, deadlines and events to our prospective students
  • Evaluate and report on the effectiveness and the return on investment of programmes marketing activity
  • Support the Digital Marketing Manager (Web and CRM) and the Head of Digital Marketing in the planning and implementation of new programme launches

Essential requirements

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent, ideally in Business, Marketing, or another relevant subject, or equivalent experience in a similar or related role(s)
  • Experience delivering and evaluating content-led marketing and communication strategies that include digital content, email communications, and website
  • Experience updating and maintaining a website using a content management system, monitoring web user journey experiences, and optimising for conversions
  • Proven experience using content management systems, CRM, monitoring and marketing analytics tools
  • Experience using email marketing software to create engaging marketing email campaigns which generate or nurture leads, and working to a busy email marketing schedule
  • Knowledge of SEO principles and best practice and digital marketing and communications practices and trends
  • Excellent written communication skills, able to adapt tone and content to a variety of different audiences and platforms
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to build relationships with colleagues of all levels
  • Creative and confident in suggesting ideas of how to improve and innovate

Further Information

Hybrid working may be considered for this role. Staff working in roles that are suitable for hybrid working will normally be expected to work 50% of their time onsite. The opportunity for hybrid working will be discussed at interview.
