About the role

Are you an advocate for workplace wellbeing? Join the People and Organisational Development (POD) team at Imperial for an exciting opportunity to make a tangible impact in a world-leading university. You’ll address current workplace wellbeing needs identified through staff surveys and align with the Imperial Mental Health and Wellbeing Strategy. This role contributes to POD’s mission of fostering culture development, change management, and leadership enhancement while promoting a culture of care through wellbeing at work support.

What you would be doing

Imperial has an ambitious goal to build a supportive, diverse, inclusive and highly motivated staff community across all disciplines, functions and activities and you will have the opportunity to significantly contribute to that goal through the POD team.

You will manage the annual plan of wellbeing at work initiatives and enable an effective infrastructure to support the implementation of staff wellbeing-related actions to become an integrated part of our people and culture provision at Imperial.

You will design and deliver of presentations and written communications and engage proactively and positively with colleagues to raise awareness of the staff wellbeing support available as well as continuously reviewing needs and highlighting related POD provision. You will be involved in assessing or conducting survey analysis, presenting results and putting forward recommendations and you will design and implement communication plans to raise the profile of wellbeing activity, ensure a comprehensive workplace wellbeing course provision and promote cross-institutional learning. You will also work closely with internal and external providers, building positive relationships and ensuring that initiatives are organised and coordinated effectively and efficiently.

What we are looking for

  • Significant experience within the higher education sector
  • Work experience and a professional qualification in areas such as: wellbeing and mental health, occupational health and safety, equality, diversity and inclusion, learning and development, human resources, psychology, organisational development or equivalent
  • Effective project management as well as analytical and problem-solving capability, monitoring and evaluation
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills – able to communicate effectively with a wide range of people, produce evidence-based reports and communication campaigns
  • A positive, self-starter and motivated individual, with strong resilience skills and a proactive spirit.
