Practice-Based Learning (placements) plays a vital component of all the pre-registration health profession programmes at QMU, offering students the opportunity to apply and consolidate their learning. It brings together academic theory, workplace practice to develop skills and competencies needed to register with a relevant professional body.
The postholder will be part of the Placement Team, acting as the first point of contact for student/external placement provider queries, ensuring that relevant information is maintained, updated and reviewed as appropriate to ensure excellent and consistent service delivery to students and our external partners.
The postholder will assist with daily office operations and administrative tasks, including data entry and file management, answering calls and managing the shared email inboxes, escalating queries when necessary. The postholder will also manage the ordering of student Allied Health Professionals Uniforms and Badges, SAAS expenses claims, and assist in the preparation of reports and purchase orders.
You must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, good attention to detail together with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Office (Word & Excel) and Microsoft Outlook. Effective organisation skills together with the ability to manage conflicting priorities often within tight timescales are equally important.
