The Faculty of Linguistics, Philology and Phonetics is a vibrant community of linguists, philologists and phoneticians working in various aspects of the discipline, both synchronic and diachronic.
The post holder will run the Faculty’s UNIQ programme, coordinate the Faculty’s wider outreach programme, including ensuring LPP is appropriately represented at University Open days, and be responsible for ensuring communication materials are maintained and widely accessible. They will need to create some Linguistics materials and coordinate input from post holders within the Faculty to create a range of materials suitable for an audience of potential undergraduate and graduate students in Linguistics who are new to the subject.

About the Role
The post holder will Act as Course Director for the Faculty’s UNIQ summer school. They will Coordinate, produce, and deliver outreach activities, contributing a specialist knowledge of Linguistics, and also enlisting post holders where required, and also Facilitate Faculty involvement with University-wide outreach events and activities, in communication with the University’s Undergraduate Admissions and Outreach team;
About You
You will have at least a Master’s degree in a Linguistics-related subject, and a passion for raising awareness of Linguistics, and an enthusiasm for encouraging others to learn more about the subject, Previous experience of organising events and/or working with schools or school pupils, and the ability to manage own workload and prioritise effectively
