Corpus Christi is recruiting a Head of Housekeeping to lead and develop our College-wide student accommodation and housekeeping service. Leading and inspiring our friendly and hardworking teams, this position is pivotal in ensuring the College is presented at its very best and is a welcoming, clean and well-kept environment for all College members, as well as guests and visitors. The person will be instrumental in developing a long-term plan that sustainably and defensibly advances the provision, quality and condition across all aspects of accommodation.
The College has a diverse estate, and you’ll be responsible for all of our accommodation and public rooms from our Old Court dating from the 14th century through to modern purpose-built residences. The Head of Housekeeping oversees the furnishings and fittings across the estate, while actively working alongside other Senior Staff and departments to ensure all college spaces are well cared for and meet the needs of the many groups who use them.
The new Head of Housekeeping will be a strong team leader, able to motivate and encourage a diverse and multifaceted team. You should have previous experience of working in a student accommodation, housekeeping or college operations, having strong attention to detail as well as an enthusiasm and pride in delivering the rooms in our care to the very highest standards of cleanliness and presentation.
In return, you will receive a competitive salary, and excellent benefits including car parking, pension contributions and generous holiday allowance. The College is committed to staff wellbeing and community and provides free lunch, termly social events and annual staff outing, as well as a subsidised healthcare scheme and use of College facilities (including most recently the students’ punts!).
