About us

The post will be based in the Centre for Implementation Science (CIS). The Centre is home to a team of expert implementation and improvement science researchers, including health economists and statisticians. This team investigates how best to ‘implement’ evidence-based practice and clinical research within health services in south London, nationally and internationally. The team studies the role of healthcare professionals, managers, commissioners of health services and policymakers as well as organisational structures and processes to try to understand why health services don’t always offer the safest, most effective treatments and ways of working. CIS is based in the Department of Health Service & Population Research (HSPR) whose main goal is to conduct world-leading research and education using the social and health sciences to better understand and to improve health outcomes, systems, and care, both locally and globally, particularly in disadvantaged and marginalised populations.

About the role

The main purpose of this role is to provide comprehensive administrative support to the NIHR ARC South London programme (ARC) and King’s Improvement Science (KIS). This role is based in the Centre for Implementation Science at Denmark Hill campus.

The duties of the role include servicing centre meetings, organising online events, processing financial paperwork, formatting documentation for projects and reports, and being responsible for all aspects of office administration under the direction of the Centre's Research Co-Ordinator. This role largely involves servicing meetings, so the post holder should have strong experience in diary management and minute-taking.

The Centre for Implementation Science is home to a team of expert implementation researchers who investigate how best to implement evidenced-based practice and research results within health and social care services. For further information about the Centre for Implementation Science please see: https://www.kcl.ac.uk/research/cis. The post holder will provide administrative support to projects within the centre, particularly the NIHR Applied Research Collaboration South London (ARC) and King's Improvement Science (KIS). ARC is a research organisation that brings together researchers, health and social care practitioners, and local people to improve health and social care in south London. KIS is a King's Health Partners (KHP) funded research programme aimed at enhancing how quality improvement activity is carried out across major south London health care providers.

This post will be offered on a fixed-term contract until 31/03/2026.

This is a part-time post - 60% part time equivalent.
