To support our ambitious plans to grow our student intake and develop our academic offering we are seeking a creative individual to join our Marketing & Campaigns team and bring new ideas and experience to the fore. This role supports a Marketing Business Partner to deliver marketing and promotional activities for a portfolio of academic Schools and Departments. As a School Marketing Officer you will play a key role in delivering impactful communications and marketing strategies and activities for your Schools.

This role will suit an ambitious marketing practitioner, with a relevant qualification or experience, and who is looking to broaden their marketing skills. Previous experience of working in the HE sector is desirable but not essential.

You will have:

  • A good honours degree or relevant professional qualification, e.g. CIM qualification, or relevant Marketing experience.
  • Experience of implementing marketing strategies and effective communication plans to meet customers’ needs, including experience of utilising traditional and digital channels.
  • Outstanding communication skills (written and verbal) – ability to write concise, engaging copy for non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to identify marketing challenges and initiate appropriate solutions.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and relationship building; diplomacy and the confidence to challenge opinions appropriately.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaborate effectively with colleagues.
  • Ability to prioritise and work under pressure.
  • A willingness to respond flexibly to a fast-paced environment.
