The Role:

Oldham College is seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Beauty Therapist/Assessor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for beauty therapy and will operate within an employer-focused framework, offering initial assessments, ongoing evaluations, and advisory services to a diverse caseload of work-based learners, including apprentices of all ages. Additionally, the candidate will provide treatments to customers at our commercial salon, ensuring a professional image is maintained and delivering exceptional customer service to all clients.

Key Responsibilities for Senior Beauty Therapist/Assessor:

  • To manage an agreed caseload of learners consistent with the quality standards for supporting WBL work-based learning trainees.
  • To ensure that each learner has a detailed individual learning plan, has the opportunities to complete that plan, with an approach that is training based and not assessment only based; and each learner is supported to build a high-quality portfolio.
  • To ensure the delivery of work-based assessment conforms to the requirements of awarding organization’s and the Colleges quality assurance systems.
  • To carry out initial sign ups, reviews, assessments & exit interviews, reviews and report learner progress to deadlines.

Minimum Requirements for Senior Beauty Therapist/Assessor:

  • Related occupational NVQ Level 3, or equivalent qualification
  • Assessor qualification or a willingness to complete this within 12 months
  • Interest and knowledge of work-based learning and other workforce development programmes.
  • Experience of working with and understanding employer needs in respect of workforce development/skills development.
