We are seeking a Lecturer (AC2) in Art and Design (Maternity Cover) to join the Design Portfolio. This is a unique opportunity to join a London-based design school with a vision to impact the world by focusing on sustainable development goals and addressing design diversity and design inclusion issues.
The successful candidate will be an outstanding and inspiring Art and Design practitioner who has passion for the student experience and work well across multidisciplinary teams. They will also be excited to seek out interdisciplinary opportunities both within the UoG and externally and to agent, cultivate and engage with established and new networks. To complement the current team’s academic portfolio/s, we are particularly interested in applicants with: knowledge of designing for publication systems; experience of art and design theories and practices; design studio teaching experience; the ability to teach specific advanced skills and knowledge; expertise with print technologies and techniques (analogue and digital).
Most of the vacancy’s duties will involve teaching, assessment, and pastoral and academic support to students. The post holder will take on the responsibility of Module Leadership, undertaking the associated administration and quality assurance related to the delivery of specified modules. The successful candidate will engage in activities to support the Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF), Knowledge Exchange Framework (KEF) and professional practice across the subject area and contribute to the research profile of the school.
