Senior Business Analyst (Grade 8)

We are looking to recruit an experienced Senior Business Analyst to play a key role in the successful implementation of IT-related business change at the University. You will join a small team of business and process improvement analysts and will work on a wide variety of projects, often complex in nature, usually working across multiple projects at the same time. Your work will involve understanding stakeholder needs, scoping and assessing the feasibility of new projects and supporting strategic decision-making via business cases, options appraisals and impact assessments. You will capture, analyse, prioritise, validate and co-ordinate the sign-off of requirements. You will understand and document complex data integrations between systems and carry out gap analysis and other activities to support IT solution design. You will also play a key role in 3rd party invitations to tender and support solution testing and implementation. You will be responsible for planning and managing the analysis needed for your projects. You will work collaboratively with project and programme managers to shape project plans. You will sometimes manage projects yourself or co-ordinate the work of other analysts and project team members. You will work closely with developers, infrastructure teams, enterprise and data architects and stakeholders from across the University. You will present information visually, verbally and in writing and be responsible for producing high quality and accurate business analysis outputs.
