The postholder will be a member of Exeter Innovation’s Sector Team based in Exeter.

This role offers the opportunity for hybrid working – some time on campus and some from home.

Summary of the role

Exeter Innovation aims to bring a new focus to partnerships and collaborative working with external, non-university partners in the Southwest region, nationally and internationally and to drive place-based innovation.  Its key aim is to secure significantly greater income and impact and significantly better outputs and outcomes from relationships with partners drawing on the University’s education, research and physical assets.

We are seeking a highly skilled IPDM – Enabling Technologies to support the Data, Engineering and Physical Sciences sector teams helping to develop key sub-themes on areas like nanotechnology, applied physics and AI.  This post is key to building collaborations that support research, development and innovation activities with commercial companies and stakeholders, and to work with funders and funding agencies. Work will include direct business support, market analysis, exploring funding opportunities, project development, client relationship management and support for academic teams in the preparation of research and other proposals.
