About the role

The Humanities Division’s shared IT service is seeking a dedicated and innovative IT Officer to join our dynamic team, soon to be based in the Stephen A. Schwarzman Centre for the Humanities at the University of Oxford. This state-of-the-art facility, set to open in 2025, will be a hub for academic excellence, cultural engagement, and cutting-edge research.

As our IT Officer, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Division’s mission by ensuring the seamless operation of our digital infrastructure. You will work closely with faculty, staff, and students to provide technical support, manage IT systems, and implement new technologies that enhance our educational and research capabilities.

About you

To be successful in this varied and interesting role, you will need to be someone who strives for excellence and enjoys providing high quality customer service, whilst also ensuring what you deliver is completed in a safe way. You will have great communication skills, and be confident in the ability to communicate to members of the public, students and academic staff with courtesy and politeness. You will also have a positive attitude with a flexible and adaptable approach to your work, and be comfortable when priorities suddenly need to change .
