The Tufegdzic Vidakovic lab at MRC LMB combines genomics, biochemistry, cell biology and computational biology, to gain mechanistic understanding of how our genome is transcribed. Our team is interdisciplinary and international, combining both experimental and computational (wet and dry) approaches, and is a highly collaborative environment to perform cutting-edge research.

We are looking for a highly motivated computational biologist/bioinformatician to: 1) lead a research project investigating Pol II dynamics during mammalian development, which involves establishment of a new method to analyse position of actively-transcribing Pol II and associated factors on chromatin, and 2) collaborate within the team on diverse projects. This is a three-year training and development position suitable for you if you have recently completed your doctoral studies, or you are looking to move into a new research discipline and/or need to further develop your research skills. Working with our world class scientists you will be working in an Institute renowned for its excellent scientific facilities and high-quality research.

If you are excited about this role but your past experience doesn’t align perfectly with every requirement in the job description, we encourage you to apply nevertheless. Informal enquiries are welcome and should be addressed to: atv@mrc-lmb.cam.ac.uk
