We seek to appoint a Postdoctoral Scientist to the Division of Structural Studies to reconstitute in vitro, and isolate from native sources, the budding yeast kinetochore-centromere complex for structural (cryo-EM) and biophysical investigations.
The position is funded until 31st August 2027 initially and is available from 1st February 2025. The position is located at the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology in Cambridge, UK within the group of David Barford.
The successful applicant will hold at least a PhD (or equivalent) in a biological/physical science or be due to complete within 6 months of starting. Experience of purifying and reconstituting large nucleic acid-protein complexes from heterologous expression systems suitable for cryo-EM and biophysical studies is essential.
