Derby College Group (DCG) are looking for an experienced, part-time Biology Teacher to join our Adult & Community team to deliver GCSE Biology programme aimed specifically at adult learners wanting to upskill or change career. The Opportunity
You will deliver to 2 groups of learners at our Roundhouse campus. Group one is classroom based on a Monday evening and group 2 is blended learning on a Wednesday evening. (Blended learning students attend campus for practical sessions 8 times a year and the remaining sessions are taught live via MS Teams).
About you
You will be a flexible, dedicated, and motivated professional, providing outstanding Biology teaching, learning and assessment for our adult learners. You will hold a relevant specialist degree and a recognised Level 5/6 teaching qualification (PGCE/CertEd).
You will be an enthusiastic, flexible and innovative teacher with experience of delivering A Level Biology, preferably in a FE context. Excellent administration and interpersonal skills together with a commitment to working effectively as part of a team are also essential in this role.
