The Opportunity:
We are looking for a post-doctoral researcher to operate in Gerlinde Van de Walle’s stem cell biology research group. The selected applicant will work as a postdoc on the potential of the stem cell secretome as a novel biologic for the treatment of infected skin wounds. It is expected that the successful applicant will have a strong knowledge of wound healing and excellent cell culture skills, including working with mesenchymal stromal cells (MSC) and innate immune cells from various animals. The applicant will have practical experience in immunofluorescence and other staining techniques and analyses. The position requires a self-motivated and highly organized individual who will assist with guidance ad supervision of students, as well as general lab management and grant writing. The postdoc will have the opportunity to work directly with the PI in developing independent projects and lines of research.
This is a full time post available from December 1st 2024 and is supported by funding for 2 years.
