About the role
This role is to specifically assist schools with apprenticeship programmes with administrative tasks as they transition their programmes to using an Apprenticeship Management System (Smart Assessor).
Reporting to the relevant School Degree Apprenticeship Manager, the holder is responsible for the delivery of efficient and effective administrative support, diary and meeting management, email monitoring and general administrative support for the wider apprenticeship teams across the university. The post holder will respond appropriately to challenging and conflicting demands, and ensure that robust processes and monitoring systems are followed. The role is to liaise with programme managers and Administrators within the Schools and Central Degree Apprenticeship teams to support the transition of apprentices to a new apprenticeship management system. This will include effective internal and external communication as well as the production and timely sharing of reports, minutes and other documents as may be from time to time required. The individual will occasionally be tasked with project-based work in keeping with the seniority of the post. The Degree Apprenticeship Assistant supports and enables the School to meet its operational needs.
About you
Applications are invited form candidates with significant experience of providing administrative support in a busy environment, preferably within the Higher Education and/or Further Education sectors and have an understanding of the operational processes common in an IT environment and how this fits within the broader needs of a university. Previous experience using apprenticeship/learner management software systems, such as Smart Assessor, Onefile or Aptem is desirable.
