About the Role
We seek a Research Fellow specializing in Electric Vehicles-based Virtual Power Plants. This position involves conducting cutting-edge research on the integration of electric vehicles (EVs) in the form of virtual power plants (VPPs) to enhance grid flexibility and resilience and energy efficiency. Designing and simulating VPP models, analyzing data, and publishing findings in high-impact journals are some of the key responsibilities. Applicants should have a PhD in Power Systems or a related field with expertise in EV technology and smart grid solutions. It is essential that the candidate has strong analytical skills, proficiency in utilizing optimization algorithms and simulation software, as well as a track record of publications in relevant areas with proficiency in programming languages such as Python and knowledge of relevant libraries and frameworks. Expertise in developing innovative algorithms in relevant areas is essential. The ideal candidate should be committed to research and knowledge transfer, as well as possess a practical mindset for developing innovative solutions. This position requires strong analytical, conceptual thinking, and communication skills in English, as well as the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment. This is an exciting externally funded position within NTU-GridLab.
