Background of department/role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced mental health professional to join our Student Wellbeing Service.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering CCCU’s Vision 2030 commitment to put wellbeing at the centre of an inclusive and compassionate student journey enabling our students to flourish and succeed in their studies.

Contributing to the shaping of a recently-formed leadership team, you will be collaboratively responsible for further developing and delivering a sector-leading student support service to meet the complex and changing needs of our diverse student body.

The CCCU Student Wellbeing Service is a large multidisciplinary team of staff, with a range of expertise and experience. It is a friendly and welcoming team in the process of developing its offer, so creativity and innovation are welcomed

Who are we looking for?
We are looking for an experienced mental health professional, who can work collaboratively, creatively, and with passion to support the department and develop our service for students.

The post holder will have:

  • Strong leadership qualities, with resilience in high pressure environments
  • A mental health clinical qualification (OT/SW/Nursing/Psychotherapy), with current accreditation.
  • Experience in service development and delivery
  • Experience in physical as well as mental health conditions
  • Confidence and proven experience in managing complex cases and risk
  • Sound supervisory experience – and experience of leading group supervision sessions
  • Proven skills in multi-agency working
  • Commitment to equitable and inclusive practice, with sound knowledge of equality legislation.
  • Experience of co production

How will you work?

We are committed to supporting flexible methods of working wherever possible and this role is an Essential Campus Specialist - These roles are typically wholly campus based due to their specialist nature or the need to provide in person services

The post holder will normally be offered one day a week working from home, where possible.
