The Nuffield Department of Clinical Neurosciences (NDCN) is looking for a professional, friendly and customer-focused individual to join our busy departmental finance team that supports our world leading researchers and students. The Finance Officer plays a key role processing a range of financial transactions relating to Purchasing, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Expense claims accurately and in a timely manner. Working closely with the other members of the finance team you will promote and maintain a customer-focussed, high-quality service, and ensure all financial transactions are processed and recorded accurately and in line with university financial controls.
It is important that you are able to work well with others and communicate effectively with a wide range of people. In addition, you will need to possess initiative, the ability to work to deadlines and to maintain a high level of attention to detail given the duties involved. NDCN encourages staff to explore the University’s Work Learn Develop programme of funded professional training and development opportunities for university staff. This role provides an excellent opportunity for a suitable individual to pursue a finance qualification while working for NDCN.
It is essential that you are educated to A level standard with GCSE (at least grades C / 4) level English and Maths, or equivalent combination of training and experience and have suitable experience of working in a relevant financial administration role.
