Senior Registration Assessment Officer

General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)

Location: Home-based with office-based meetings as required

Hours: 35 hours per week, from 9.00 to 5.00, Monday to Friday

The Role

As a Senior Registration Assessment Officer, you will play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing the quality of our registration assessments. You will lead the development and maintenance of internal policies and procedures, manage the question bank, and provide project management support for the Board of Assessors and the Reasonable Adjustments Panel.

Flexible working and job share arrangements will be supported where appropriate.

This role is subject to a basic Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check as part of our pre-employment due diligence.

The successful applicant will:

  • Develop registration assessment material and maintain up-to-date knowledge of pharmacy practice, providing coaching to question writers and standard setters as necessary.
  • Project manage activities carried out by external contractors, anticipating risks and managing these effectively.
     
  • Deputise and support the Professional Assessment Manager, making sure work is delivered on time and to a high quality.
  • Be a registered pharmacist with broad UK pharmacist experience, preferably multi sector.
