We are looking to appoint an Academic Misconduct & Appeals Administrator whose primary focus will be to manage and provide operational support for the academic misconduct and appeals processes and to provide professional advice to staff and students on often sensitive issues.
You will research and evaluate evidence on cases of suspected academic misconduct and make recommendations to senior staff members who access the service on how to proceed. You will also be responsible for scheduling, minuting and administering panel hearings and managing a database.
We are looking for a customer focused, professional and highly-motivated team player with excellent communication skills, and a good eye for detail. You will possess strong IT skills, including experience with MS Word, Excel and databases. You will also have the ability to manage a varied workload, to respond flexibly to the demands of the job, and to maintain the confidentiality of personal data.
The postholder will be expected to work to a high level of expertise, efficiency, discretion, and professionalism. In response to internal and external drivers, stakeholder feedback and to shape future service delivery you will be expected to contribute to the continual improvement of processes by identifying areas for improvement; by actively contributing to problem solving activities; and by promoting a culture of ongoing improvements that benefit stakeholders and the wider team.
