Applications are invited for a fixed-term Stipendiary Lectureship in Engineering Science at Worcester College, tenable from 1st October 2024 to 30th September 2025.

The lecturer will be required to give tutorials and revision classes for first- and second-year courses in Mathematics, and Electronics and Information Engineering (examination papers P1 and A1; and P2 and A2 in Engineering Science), with a teaching stint of 6 weighted hours weekly averaged across each term. Other duties of the post include setting and marking College exams (‘collections’); working with colleagues in contributing to the administration of Engineering Science in the College, the academic oversight of Engineering undergraduate students, the undergraduate admissions round, and fostering diversity in Engineering Science at the College.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor of Arts degree (or equivalent) and be close to completing, or have completed, a doctoral degree in Engineering Science, or a closely relevant subject.

Stipend will be in the range £15,244-£16,983 per annum, according to qualifications and experience. The lecturer will be entitled to 3 lunches and 3 dinners per week at Worcester College’s Common Table during term (when the kitchens are open).
