About the role

This new role is a unique opportunity to contribute to the mission of the Blavatnik School of Government, blending i) the opportunity to lead our Fellowships function, including curating the experience and maximising the impact of our most senior Executive Fellows, with ii) leading on relevant strategy and policy projects at the School to help shape and implement our strategic initiatives.

As the strategic lead for fellowships & visitors, you will line manage a small team in our Executive Programmes function, charged with supporting our existing diverse and exciting programmes and developing and implementing new initiatives as appropriate.

Additionally, you will personally work with our most senior Executive Fellows to design and undertake a programme of teaching, research and engagement activities in support of the mission of the School, tailored to each Fellow’s aims and interest. You will have the opportunity to work closely with the Fellows on the substance of their policy programme, as well as curating an excellent experience.

While this role is available on a full-time basis, we would be open to considering a part-time appointment (at a minimum 60% FTE).

About you

You will have experience building trusted and impactful relationships with senior political figures/officials, along with knowledge of - and interest in - government, public policy or a related field.

You will have excellent interpersonal, communication and judgment skills, with a collaborative mind-set and the ability to successfully build and manage a team to deliver exceptional standards of customer/participant experience.

A proven ability to successfully managing and implementing strategic projects, strong problem-solving and analytical skills are also essential.
