The University of Glasgow has been changing the world for more than 573 years, and today we are one of the world's top 100 universities. We are delighted to have recently been awarded Scottish University of the Year by the Times & Sunday Times Good University Guide 2024, demonstrating that we are not only one of the best universities in the United Kingdom, but one of the best universities for the world. Our people have always been at the forefront of innovation, and our past achievements inspire our current world changers.
The School of Law is seeking to appoint up to three Research Interns to support the work of its research groups in Corporate and Financial Law; Criminal Law; International Law, Conflict and Security; Legal Theory; Private Law; Public Law and the Scottish Civil Justice Hub. You can learn more about each of these groups by visiting: https://www.gla.ac.uk/schools/law/research/groups/
The Interns will work with research group heads and the School’s Directors of Research to provide support to the groups. The nature of the work will be varied and could include organising research related events, disseminating information online and on social media, providing research assistance for particular research projects or funding applications and/or undertaking research administration.
This is an opportunity to get involved in and gain an insight into the research activities of the Law School. The School has a vibrant research environment, which you will become part of. We host numerous research events, welcome visiting scholars from around the world, publish world leading outputs and work with non-academic partners so that our research can make a difference to society. You would also be able to take advantage of the University’s extensive training and support programme for academic researchers.
These posts are full time (35 hours per week), one-year appointments and may suit recent LLB graduates in particular.
Informal enquiries may be directed to the School’s Directors of Research:
Professors James Chalmers and Fiona Leverick (law-research-director@glasgow.ac.uk).
Apply online by clicking the 'Apply' button, above.
Closing Date: 14 August 2024
