Duties and Responsibilities

We are looking to appoint an outstanding Communications Manager to join our Digital Health Hub for Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR). The Hub brings together researchers from UCL, the UK Health Security Agency, Bangor University, Centre for Ecology and Hydrology, Oxford, Sheffield and Leeds universities, as well as many NHS, industry, charity and government partners.

The post holder will have an outstanding track record in Communications for healthcare or digital technologies, and experience with research impact for funders. Also they will have experience of reaching a range of audiences (students, academics, clinicians, patients, public, industry and policy makers), ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders in the UK and internationally, and have strong skills in communications, and event management for large scale events.

The post is available 1 September 2024 to 30 November 2026 in the first instance and will be fully based on site.

Key Requirements

Applicants should have an undergraduate qualification in marketing or communications which can be part of their degree or have developed equivalent professional experience. In addition they should have experience developing high impact digital communication and marketing strategies, managing events including large national conferences (100 people), stakeholder workshops and public patient interaction and events.

The exciting position will require that candidate to form good working relationships, have strong interpersonal skills, be able to translate science, manage conflicting deadlines and has strong IT and design skills.
