A Referrals Coordinator is required to support the Inclusive Support Manager to coordinate the system for processing, advising and allocating disabled students to advisers within the Inclusive Support Service

This is a full time, hybrid working post. You will be based on site, at Headington Campus, for a minimum of 3 days per week

The successful candidate will:

  • Support the delivery of a solution-focussed advice service for disabled students. This will include managing the referral process and point of entry for students who refer themselves to the Inclusive Support Service and providing advice and guidance prior to allocating the student to a disability adviser
  • Work with the Senior Adviser and Inclusive Support Manager to develop, update and implement processes and procedures to support the operational activity of the referral process
  • Support the processing of needs assessment reports, medical evidence, and other specialist disability-related information, and support advisers to process recommendations for academic reasonable adjustments, including exam arrangements and other on-course requirements in line with the Equality Act 2010 and Public Sector Equality Duty
  • Engage and liaise with internal and external partners and colleagues to ensure a holistic approach to meeting the individual needs of students with disabilities.

You should have:

  • A Level or equivalent  professional qualification or demonstrable work experience supporting people with disabilities
  • Familiarity and proficiency with online communication and the ability to use MS Office applications and Google workspace or similar as well as software such as customer relationship management systems, record systems
  • Customer service oriented approach with friendly and professional manner
  • Experience of managing highly sensitive and confidential information, and adhering to relevant policies and protocols
  • Ability to work and problem solve independently, under pressure and prioritise in order to meet deadlines.
